Terms of Service & Cottage Food Disclosure
Welcome to Gliding Grains. By placing an order with us, you are supporting a local Maryland craft. Because we operate as a Cottage Food Business, there are specific details regarding our production and policies that we want you to know.
-
In accordance with Maryland law, please be advised:
This food is produced by a cottage food business that is not subject to Maryland’s food safety regulations.
Every loaf is handcrafted and baked in a private home kitchen located in Maryland. While we maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in our "hearth," this environment is not a licensed commercial facility.
To maintain the privacy of our Lead Baker while ensuring full transparency, her full legal name for the purpose of validating her nationally accredited ANAB Food Handler Certification (#L2S-FH-000040388007) is available upon request. For verification inquiries, please contact us at Angel@GlidingGrains.com or (706) 951-5532.

We believe in pure, honest bread. Every product you receive will be clearly labeled with:
The common name of the product.
A full list of ingredients in descending order by weight.
Allergen Information: Our kitchen handles common allergens including Wheat, Milk, Eggs, and Honey. While we follow strict sanitization protocols, we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment.
-
Local Delivery: We deliver fresh loaves to select zip codes within Maryland.
Shipment: Under Maryland Cottage Food regulations, we are permitted to sell and ship our products within the State of Maryland.
Note for Customers: At this time, all orders must originate and be delivered within state lines to remain in compliance with local cottage food statutes.
-
Artisanal bread is a living thing. Because we use wild yeast and hand-shaping techniques, slight variations in crust color, "ear" shape, and crumb structure are a natural and beautiful part of the craft.
-
Because our loaves are pure and free from industrial preservatives, they have a natural "shelf life."
Freshness Window: We guarantee the quality of our bread upon delivery or arrival. It is the customer's responsibility to follow the storage and "Oven Refresh" instructions provided in our Bread Care Guide.
Handling After Delivery: Gliding Grains is not responsible for bread that has been left unattended after delivery (e.g., sitting on a porch in high humidity or heat) or stored improperly (e.g., in a refrigerator).
